About Us
Founded in 2025, the Veterans Empowerment Fund (VEF) is dedicated to supporting veterans in their transition to civilian life and throughout their post-service life. We empower veterans by providing guidance, resources, and advocacy to ensure they receive the VA benefits they have earned. When you to donate to veterans through the VEF, we are all helping to promote their independence, dignity, and well-being.
Every VEF scholarship recipient receives both access to the Operation Beacon platform and personal guidance though the process.
Operation Beacon, our partner, is a proprietary software and consulting organization that helps veterans gain and maximize their VA benefits. It was founded and is led by Paul Schwartz, an Air Force veteran. He wanted to make the VA disability claims process simpler, fairer, and faster for veterans. Like many others, Paul navigated the confusing and frustrating maze of process, paperwork, and denials, and he knew there had to be a better way. So, he built it.
At the heart of it, he's a veteran helping veterans. Operation Beacon is not just fixing a broken system — it's transforming lives.
That’s where the VEF comes in with scholarship assistance to deserving veterans. Many veterans who want services and support for Operation Beacon cannot afford it. We want to give every veteran the opportunity to get the benefits they have earned.
