About Us

Established in 2010, Youth Ambassadors is an educational, non-profit employment program designed to equip underserved youth with the knowledge that they as teenagers have a vital voice. Youth Ambassadors hires teens ages 14-18 who work during out of school time when youth are most susceptible to negative influences. As employees, Ambassadors participate in a minimum of four core work assignments; 21st Century Life and Job Skills, Health, Writing, and Art. Ambassadors are exposed to additional evidence-based, environment-specific instruction and experiential learning opportunities that are interwoven into the curriculum. Programming occurs on Saturdays during the school year and three days a week during the 8-week summer session. We pride ourselves on small class sizes, with a ratio of no more than 10 youth to every teacher, thus developing close youth-mentor relationships.
