Big Changes in Store for Nonprofit Financial Reporting
The FASB anticipates completing deliberations soon on Phase I of an accounting standard that would significantly change financial reporting by all not-for-profit entities. Changes include how nonprofits classify net assets, measure financial performance and cash flows, classify expenses, and provide information about liquidity.
Presenters Sharon Latimer, CPA and Colleen McDole, CPA, nonprofit specialists at RubinBrown LLP. will discuss the impact of the proposal, including:
- Highlights of the key proposed changes
- Review of the proposed updated financial statement and footnote presentation format
- Comment and themes received by the FASB during exposure draft comment period
