National Funders Workshop
Find out what it takes to attract national funding!
If your organization doesn’t think it’s a candidate for funding from national funders, think again. While acquiring national funding requires an understanding of the national funding environment and how to create a funding persona that gets you noticed, you might also be surprised to find out who some of the national players are funding in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area.
Find out who these funders are and how to set your organization apart from the competition with the right kind of research, branding and communications to attract national dollars.
At this workshop, you will:
- Find out what is required of nonprofits – “the top 10 things to do” in order to “go national” and appeal to national funders
- Get the inside scoop on the top 50+ national foundations that fund in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area
- Discover top national funders in several categories – including corporate industries, faith-based communities, specialty funders, and constituency-specific funders
- Understand the quirks of national funders and how to address their specific needs and idiosyncrasies.
- Receive a printed booklet containing detailed profiles on 100 national funders that fund, or are open to funding, in the Kansas City Area
Full participation in this program is applicable for 3.5 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
