Raíces de Guadalupe offers an immersive look into the cultural roots, historical milestones, and community leadership that have defined Guadalupe Centers for over a century. Participants will explore the people, places, and pivotal moments that shaped Kansas City’s Westside and beyond.
Meet the speaker:
Leo Prieto, Chief Community Officer at Guadalupe Centers, champions community initiatives and strategic partnerships, ensuring the Latino community’s voice is heard. With over 20 years of experience in non-profits, corporate, and government sectors, Leo excels in community relations and advocacy. His career spans roles with the YMCA, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the Kansas City Chiefs Spanish broadcast. A KU Law graduate Leo is the recipient of honors such as Ingram’s 40 Under Forty and the Ohtli Award. Leo stays deeply committed to uplifting Kansas City’s Latino community through his leadership and vision.
