Succeeding at Succession: The Leadership Transition
Executive Transition Management is a broad and productive process that encompasses leadership development, planned departures, and emergency gaps. When top leaders depart, it's a pivotal moment for an organization. In risk management terms it is both an inevitable and a high risk situation, and one that is often poorly planned.
If you have a skeletal succession plan because you’re externally required to, are in the midst of a leadership transition, or have delayed addressing the topic in your organization for whatever reasons, this session will provide some next steps to move forward.
Presenters Bruce Scott, nonprofit executive coach and consultant and president of Nonprofit Connect's Board of Directors, and Bill Moran, founder, The Moran Company LLC, an executive search firm, offer an overview of succession planning best-practices illustrated by real-life examples of executive turnover and replacement.
Nonprofit executives and board members -- join us to elevate your readiness for this inevitable occurrence and influence the likelihood of facilitating a positive leadership transition.
