Contract Nonprofit Bookkeeper

The KC Blind All-Stars Foundation is seeking a contract bookkeeper for approximately 20 hours per month. Must specialize in nonprofit accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile fund balances and accounts

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for leadership and board review

  • Track restricted and unrestricted funds, grants, and donations

  • Assist with annual organization budget development and monthly monitoring

  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting practices and IRS regulations and prepare annual reporting paperwork

  • Maintain organized digital financial records

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting (nonprofit experience necessary)

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and/or Bloomerang)

  • Strong knowledge of nonprofit financial management

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

 

Job Type: Part Time

Salary Range: Up to $29,999
