Manager, Prospect Research & Analytics

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art | Kansas City, MO

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is seeking a strategic and analytical fundraising professional to serve as Manager, Prospect Research & Analytics. Reporting to the Director, Development Operations, this role leads prospect research, fundraising analytics, and Development Operations staff while helping advance fundraising effectiveness through data-driven insights and donor intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead prospect research efforts to identify, evaluate, and prioritize major gift prospects.

  • Develop donor profiles, research briefs, wealth assessments, and fundraising intelligence.

  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that support fundraising strategy and decision-making.

  • Manage and develop Development Operations staff responsible for constituent data management and gift processing.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor data within Tessitura.

  • Support prospect management, portfolio reviews, and pipeline development through research and analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in prospect research, fundraising operations, advancement services, development analytics, database administration, or a related field.

  • Experience with CRM systems, reporting tools, and data analysis.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Experience with Tessitura, prospect research tools, and wealth screening platforms preferred.
