Development & Administrative Operations Manager

HopeBUILDERS is on a mission to help older adults and people with disabilities in the Kansas City Metro area live in safe, accessible and healthy homes. We’re a small team doing big work, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, growth environment who can help keep day to day administration on track and strengthen our donor engagement efforts. 

The Role:
We’re seeking a Development & Administrative Operations Manager who is part fundraiser, part office organizer, part problem-solver. You’ll help strengthen relationships with our donors, support key fundraising initiatives, and ensure the day-to-day operations of our remote office run like clockwork. What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and track donor activity in Little Green Light (LGL), keeping records accurate, organized, and up-to-date.

  • Plan, write, and send monthly donor e-blasts, thank-you letters, and other donor communications.

  • Coordinate direct mailings and support fundraising campaigns for individual and corporate donors.

  • Help steward donors through timely acknowledgments, personalized communications, and follow-up.

  • Oversee key administrative and operational functions, including managing mail, coordinating large print and office orders, and maintaining office supplies and systems, including the phone system.

  • Serve as a go-to support for day-to-day administrative needs, handling tasks that ensure the organization runs smoothly and efficiently.

  • Prepare organizational reports and annual filings, and provide administrative support for leadership as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in nonprofit administration, development, or operations.

  • Experience with fundraising software

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field preferred.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a remote position with regular in person meetings required. We offer health benefits (75% paid by HopeBUILDERS), Vision and Dental, 4 weeks paid vacation plus a week off for winter holidays and a generous holiday vacation schedule throughout the year.  The salary for this position is $48,000 - $51,000 commiserate with applicable experience.
