The Director of Fundraising will spearhead the organization’s fundraising efforts to ensure its financial health and sustainability. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will focus on cultivating donor relationships, securing donor funding, leading and managing all fundraising activities supporting PAL’s mission. This would include managing a financial dashboard that tracks projected operating budget and planned/expected revenue against actuals.  In addition, oversee all marketing and communication strategies to support these efforts.
 

Fundraising Strategy and Execution
- Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to match financial objective.

  • Oversee established events including PAL FEST 2025 and Crawfish Boil.
  • Chair all aspects of fundraising events: marketing materials, website, solicitation, budgeting, day of execution. 
  • Initiate new fundraising opportunities to round out development calendar.
  • Manage CRM software, Network for Good, keeping donor database and automated communications up to date.
    • Manage marketing and development budget. 
 
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit individual, corporate and foundation donors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, ensuring consistent communication and recognition.
    • Cultivate relationships KCK/Fairfax business district.
  • Maintain donor records and oversee a CRM database to track contributions and interactions.
  • Responsible for donor stewardship.
 
 
Grant Support
- Work with external grant writing partner.  Ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborate with program staff and external resources to identify funding needs and look for new funding sources.

 
Community Outreach
- Partner with the Executive Director to represent PAL at community events and networking opportunities.
- Build partnerships with local businesses, community groups, and other potential funding sources to promote PAL’s programs.



Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, development, gift solicitation or stewardship.

- Proven track record in business that demonstrates ability to grow fundraising stream.   - Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with donor management software and CRM tools.

 
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
  • Stipend for insurance coverage
  • 401K benefits
