Manager of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships
Join us in shaping the future of Kansas City's youth as a Manager of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships. You'll be building our philanthropic landscape through the crafting of partnerships with local Kansas City corporations and foundations. Junior Achievement (JAGKC) teaches kids crucial financial decision-making skills and cultivates their entrepreneurial mindset, helping them find their passion and design a promising career. With over a century of success, Junior Achievement is the leader in experiential learning, redesigning the K-12 education experience to create economic opportunity and mobility for all youth.
Responsibilities
- Actively execute a fundraising plan to retain and attract corporate and foundation gifts ranging from $2,500 to $25,000 annually, including sponsorships, grants, and outright multi-year gifts.
- Research, identify, solicit, and steward stakeholders via visits, calls, appeals, events, and campaigns, utilizing CRM.
- Prepare letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and reports for corporate and foundation partners.
- Collaborate with program teams to integrate priorities strategically into investment priorities.
- Coordinate with Development Team members to maintain consistency in donor recognition and benefits.
- Document donor interactions and track fundraising progress in CRM database.
- Implement and assess annual giving initiatives, including monthly and direct mail campaigns, with defined stewardship communication objectives. Design and oversee segmented stewardship programs for mid-level donors.
- Lead the planning and coordination of the annual Business Hall of Fame event and assist with the execution of other fundraising events.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in fundraising or sales required, with preference given to nonprofit experience.
- Previous experience working with corporate and/or foundation prospects. Knowledge with grant proposal submissions a plus.
- Possess a strong passion for JAKC’s mission and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a relationship building emphasis through superior communication.
- Demonstrate awareness of cultural and ethnic diversity of constituents, staff and other community partners.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Technical proficiency using Microsoft Office and experience using a CRM system and other fundraising tools.
