Children's Case Manager
The Children’s Case Manager is responsible for offering a multitude of family enriching activities to parents and children electing to participate in shelter services; providing strengths-based case management services; assessing the basic needs of the family; formulating case management goal plans based on the assessment and monitoring the progress to meet those needs; facilitating children’s psycho-educational groups and family enrichment activities. Maintains a flexible schedule to meet program development and needs. This position reports to the Shelter Care Coordination Manager.
Other aspects of the position:
- Perform all job responsibilities while demonstrating proficiency in all RBC competencies and utilizing the principles of trauma informed care, and accessibility; demonstrates commitment to the overall mission of Rose Brooks Center.
- Perform functions of job according to agency policies and procedures.
- Attend scheduled staff and team meetings; participate in all required trainings.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Two years’ Case Management experience, preferably in a domestic violence agency or residential setting, and/or commensurate experience
- Knowledge of domestic violence
- Familiarity with Strengths-Based Perspective
- Knowledge of community resources
- Proficient use of MS Office/Windows operating system
- Proven time management and organizational skills
- Able to work collaboratively with others – both internally and externally
- Relational and organizational skills
- Able to maintain accurate, timely documentation of services
- Valid driver’s license and proof of liability auto insurance
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field or commensurate; courses or classwork related to human services, social work, etc.
- Experience in working with at-risk children in a residential setting
- Experience in crisis response and working with survivors of domestic/sexual violence
- Bilingual Spanish/English
Hours: This is a full-time (exempt) position, regularly scheduled to work Monday through Thursday from 9am to 7pm, with flexibility required to accommodate participants’ schedules and needs, including some weekend hours and holidays. This is classified as an in-person position. This position requires the ability to share a workspace/office environment with others.
Compensation: This position falls into a range starting at $46,000 annually (exempt).
