Life Transformation Coach

We are seeking a fulltime, Life Transformation Coach to join our dynamic team.  The Life Transformation Coach is responsible for cultivating the participant and Coach relationship along our Pathways to Success program model. This starts at enrollment and continues in engagement with participants before, during and after they have completed Personal and Professional Development Training. Life Transformation Coaches will maintain a relationship with participants and work with them to achieve both short- and long-term goals through the development of a Life Plan.  The Life Transformation Coach inspires, engages, and supports participants at all stages of their transformation without judgment or prescription.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to work with participants in one-on-one capacity to empower, challenge and support transformation
  • Coordinates with the Training Facilitator on all necessary components for a seamless Personal and Professional Development training experience including coordination of meals, classroom setup, and administrative tasks
  • Assisting with training facilitation both at CtS office and in various correctional facilities
  • Assists in community outreach to increase awareness of our program to potential participants as well as develop relationships with organizations in the community
  • Conduct intake and enrollment of new program participants both at CtS office and inside correctional facilities partnering with CtS
  • Participates in supporting trainings both at CtS offices and correctional facilities while anticipating needs and identifying strengths
  • Ability to work with team to effectively and seamlessly enhance experience of all participants
  • Ability to use office equipment including, but not limited to: computer, telephone, voicemail, photocopier.
  • Efficient and correct reporting of critical data for grant purposes in databases and paper files
  • Completes all required reports and summaries on time and submits to Program Director
  • Collaborates with Program Team to facilitate Connect Group activities, Professional Women’s Group, Career Connections, and other participant engagement activities as needed
  • Engage, participate, and contribute to assigned activities that further the goals of CtS
  • Maintain confidentiality of all participant information
  • Any other duties that may be required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution. Experience can be substituted for education.
  • Experienced in prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • SMART Goal development experience a plus!
  • Minimum of 2 years case management experience preferred. Holistic case management a plus!
  • Experience working with high-risk populations to include those reentering the workforce from incarceration and low-income populations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate via verbal and written forms for communication
COMPETENCIES:
Incorporates basic competencies into all aspects of the position, including:
  • Life Coaching: Provide coaching to prospective and current CtS Participants within CtS prescribed timeframes.
  • Data Management: Complete data entry on all applications and enrollments, weekly and monthly surveys, notes, as well as, walk in and phone call engagement within 24 hours of event.
  • Team Work: Work to assist CtS team members in filling program needs and mission, as needed. Engage in staff meetings. Use communication skills effectively and professionally.
  • Community Engagement: Creating and maintaining working relationships with community partners and agencies for the purpose of referring participants to community resources and/or employment.
  • Leadership: Exudes confidence in serving as a champion in the formation and implementation of CTS’s objectives.
  • Attitude toward change: adapts to and works effectively with a variety of situations, individuals, groups and systems.

Internal Relationships:  All Staff, Volunteers, Mentors, Participants
External Relationships: Referring Agencies, Potential Participants, Potential Volunteers, Potential Mentors, Prospective Employers, Guest Speakers, Partner Organizations
 
Location: KCMO/KCK
Additional Information: This position is full-time, 40 hour per week, non-exempt position. Employee will be eligible for full benefits including health, retirement and vacation benefits after 90 days of employment. Starting Salary Range: $37,000.00 - $44,000.00 and is contingent on qualifications and experience
