Marketing Communications Coordinator

We keep families supplied with diapers every month, so moms & dads are not stressed about taking care of this basic need.
Job Purpose/Objective
The Marketing Communications Coordinator is a member of the HappyBottoms Development Team responsible for executing marketing and communications plans aligned with HappyBottoms fundraising and brand awareness strategic plan initiatives. As part of a collaborative team, the Marketing Communications Coordinator reports to the Co-Executive and Development Director, and supports HappyBottoms mission through engaging social media posts, fundraising and awareness campaigns and in-person speaking engagements.
Essential Functions:
- In coordination with the Development Team, create and implement HappyBottoms annual marketing and communications plan; to include fundraising events, appeals, and diaper drives through social media platforms, email and website, donor communications, printed and promotional materials, and video and multimedia presentations.
- Coordinate and manage communications with print, promotional, videography and merchandise vendors.
- Manage One Cause database for HappyBottoms fundraising and special events.
- Manage timely updates and posts on all HappyBottoms social media platforms.
- Prepare and send press releases for fundraising campaigns and HappyBottoms milestone events.
- Provide information about HappyBottoms mission and programs through speaking engagements and outreach events.
- Manage and maintain inventory of HappyBottoms organizational collateral, ensuring timely updates of all media formats.
- Manage HappyBottoms marketing and communications annual expenses.
- Analyze media data to maximize communication and investment efforts.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in marketing and communications.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Motivated and organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Creative storyteller and content developer with excellent written and oral presentation skills, and the ability to analyze data and results.
- Proficiency in using website platforms, point-of-sale software, marketing automation platforms, graphic design software (Canva, InDesign) and CRM donor database.
- Actively participate in team meetings, strategic planning efforts, board, and other committee meetings.
- Effective and timely response to communications from internal and external sources.
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license for local travel (Kansas City Metropolitan area).
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continual basis. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as cabinet drawers and reach overhead.
- Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
- Periodic evenings and weekends required
- Onsite with occasional remote work
