This position involves providing transportation, facilitating in-house social events, and contributing to a supportive and engaging community environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who is a natural community builder who enjoys coordinating social activities for the residents. It is possible for someone to work every weekend or every other weekend in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Resident Safety: Monitor and maintain a safe living environment for all residents during assigned shifts. Address any safety concerns promptly and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Client Transportation: Provide reliable transportation for residents to attend evening recovery groups and other scheduled activities, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
  • Plan and Execute Social Events: Organize and facilitate engaging in-house social events. These events aim to foster community building, support, and positive social interactions among residents.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to any emergencies or unexpected situations, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Maintain Facility: Conduct regular checks of the facility to ensure it is clean, secure, and well-maintained. Address any maintenance issues or concerns that arise during shifts.
  • Document and Report: Maintain accurate records of incidents, resident activities, and any other relevant observations. Report any significant issues or concerns to the program manager or relevant staff.
  • Support Resident Needs: Assist residents with any needs or concerns they may have during the evening and night shifts, providing a supportive and empathetic presence.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in a support role or working with individuals in recovery or reentry programs is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
  • Organized with strong problem-solving skills.
