Press Release: Serve&Lift Center Announces November 7th Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 8001 Longview Road
Our new home is located in Hickman Hills, where more than 31% of children in the district’s boundaries live in poverty, nearly double the state’s rate.
KANSAS CITY, MO, September 11, 2024 – Catholic Charities of Kansas City- St. Joseph (CCKCSJ) is pleased to announce the official ribbon cutting ceremony for its new community facility, set to take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 4:30 PM. The event marks a significant milestone for us, as we expand our mission of providing critical support services, educational programs, and volunteer opportunities to uplift the local community.
The new facility, located at 8001 Longview Rd, will offer a wide range of resources, including a state-of-the-art client-choice food pantry, educational workshops, and wrap around support programs for individuals and families in need. Designed to be a welcoming space, the center will serve as a hub for community engagement, collaboration, and empowerment.
"We are incredibly excited to open the doors of the new Serve&Lift Center and invite the community to join us in this celebration," said Karen Noel, CEO of CCKCSJ. "This new facility will enable us to reach more people, provide essential services, and create a positive impact in our neighborhood."

The ribbon cutting will feature a short ceremony with remarks from local officials, community leaders, Bishop Johnston, and CCKCSJ representatives. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the new facility, learn more about its services, and enjoy refreshments. This event is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend and show their support. Learn more here. Contact Jody Breuer at 816-659-8292 to learn more.
