Caring for the People Who Power Your Mission

Caring for the People Who Power Your Mission

These are unique times. The government is once again looking at how healthcare is offered and who is eligible to receive it. For nonprofits, that adds another layer of complexity to an already tough challenge, providing health insurance that is fair, sustainable, and affordable. Over the years, we have heard from so many nonprofit leaders about the constant challenges of offering coverage. Some are paying outrageous rates even after staying loyal to the same carrier for years. Smaller nonprofits often tell us how hard it is to even get the attention of a broker. Since brokers make more money serving big businesses, small organizations can end up with poor customer service or overlooked entirely. Now, let me pause and say there are brokers who are doing a great job. We see you, and we thank you. Keep it up. Yet, there are still far too many nonprofits that cannot offer any coverage at all, despite their deep commitment to their teams. Let’s remember that nonprofits are businesses too. Our workforce deserves the peace of mind that comes from knowing their employer values their health and well-being. Boards of directors play a big role here too, making sure staff health is as important as mission delivery. For years, we searched for an insurer or broker who truly understands and cares about our sector, no matter the size of the organization. We finally found one. The goal is simple, make it quick, easy, and affordable to get coverage with the kind of customer service nonprofit professionals deserve. This is not a pooled program. It works like a traditional broker who takes the time to learn your needs, understand your priorities, and then give you a choice of carriers and plans. The decision is yours. What makes it different is that it is designed with nonprofits and busy nonprofit professionals in mind. The pricing is competitive. In fact, our own organization saw about a 25% decrease this year, which saved thousands of dollars. And with fewer than ten employees ourselves, we’re receiving personalized service, not just at renewal time but throughout the year as we experience workforce changes and health challenges. Of course, some of you already enjoy great pricing with strong broker support. That is wonderful and this option may not be the right fit for you. But for others, this may be an opportunity to explore a new way to care for your team while managing costs, even if you only have one employee. Our role is to help members navigate challenges like these and connect with solutions that strengthen the sector. If you’d like to see whether this option could work for your organization, we encourage you to take a few minutes to request a quote, chat with a representative, and get the information you need. At the very least, you’ll be better informed, and at best, you may find a way to offer stronger benefits to your team at a lower cost. No pressure, just choice. Be well.
