So wait. What happened? How did I get here?
Following the announcement of the dissolution of the KNC in 2023, there were collaborative efforts between Nonprofit Connect leadership and KNC board members to address the future of the 165 members affected. With no remaining KNC assets other than the membership to consider, both organizations believed it beneficial to explore options that would support these mission-driven organizations.
 
Recognizing Nonprofit Connect's robust presence and membership base already in Kansas, the transition to onboard KNC as Nonprofit Connect was a logical step to enhance resources and support for all involved. This joint decision aimed to provide a dedicated and strengthened resource for the success of hardworking mission-driven organizations.
 
What is a Nonprofit Connect?
Oh, we love this question. Established in 1976, Nonprofit Connect has grown to serve over 28,600 professional members across 850 (now 1015) organizations, spanning local, regional, and national nonprofits of all sizes in addition to community-minded businesses and foundations.
 
Nonprofit Connect’s mission is to link the nonprofit community to education, resources and networking so that organizations can more effectively achieve their missions. Members find nonprofit jobs in the career center, learn from local and national experts in training programs, and sharp skills with online resources.
  
Ok, so what do I need to do to get my complimentary Nonprofit Connect membership?
Ta-da! Done! If you were a member on the KNC roster, then your membership with Nonprofit Connect is already active. There is no action needed on your part. If you received an introductory email from us on December 22, 2023, we have (or will be soon!) officially adding you to our membership database. If you were a KNC member and you did not receive an email from us, or are unsure about your membership status, please contact us at (816) 888-5602 or info@npconnect.org.
  
When does my complimentary Nonprofit membership expire?
Complimentary ‘Organization’ Nonprofit Connect memberships for KNC members are valid now through November 30, 2024.

Complimentary ‘Business’ Nonprofit Connect memberships for KNC business members are valid now through June 30, 2024.

How do I get log-in credentials for npconnect.org?
Great question, you’re gonna want those to unlock resources, post jobs, enhance your membership directory profile, and so much more.
 
Once your account has been created, you will receive a “Welcome to Nonprofit Connect” email. You will then receive a separate follow-up email inviting you to create your login entitled, “Member Area Access for Nonprofit Connect.” Once you have created your login, simply visit our website, and click the Member Login button at the top. Please email info@npconnect.org if you have any questions about logging in.

Will there be any Nonprofit Connect programs and events happening in Wichita?
Yes! We are actively working on bringing in-person programs and events to the Wichita area so stay tuned. In the meantime, we offer a wide variety of virtual programs throughout the year so you can join us from anywhere. We also welcome you to attend any of our in-person events and programs happening in Kansas City. You can view a full list of our 2024 programs and events here.
