BIPOC Nonprofit Professional Roundtable- Checking My Mental
Join us for our upcoming BIPOC Roundtable as we delve into this quarter’s focus entitled, "Checking My Mental."
Burnout is a pressing concern for many BIPOC working professionals and is often exacerbated by the compounded challenges they face in their roles. From maneuvering through cultural competence to grappling with vicarious trauma and encountering both micro and macro-aggressions, the factors contributing to workplace burnout and mental stress are multifaceted and extensive.
During our May roundtable, with Vladimir Sainte, LCSW, and friends, we'll address these stressors head-on and explore strategies to support the well-being of BIPOC nonprofit professionals. This is an opportunity for individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color to come together in a safe and supportive environment. Together, we will cover the following topics:
- Cultural Competence
- Vicarious Trauma
- Intersectional Identities
- Micro-, Macro -Aggressions and Discrimination
- Workload Imbalance
…. just to name a few!
Join us as we prioritize mental health and well-being within the BIPOC nonprofit community. Your voice matters, and together, we can work towards fostering a healthier and more resilient sector.
Disclaimer: This roundtable is a direct response to feedback and requests from our community. At Nonprofit Connect, we're committed to incorporating diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into all our programming.
