Don't Get Demoted: Mobile-Friendly Websites
Want to rank higher on Google search results? Make sure your website is mobile-optimized.
As of April 21, Google made a major change to their ranking algorithm giving mobile-friendly websites a higher position in search rankings. The revised formula favors websites that Google defines as “mobile-friendly.” Those that don’t fit this description will be demoted in Google’s search results on smartphones and tablets while those meeting the criteria will be more likely to appear at the top of the rankings — a valued position that can translate into more visitors and donations.
What does all this mean and is your website ready? Dale Knoop, CEO at RAZ Mobile and recognized mobile data pioneer and patent-holder, discusses what the new changes mean and what nonprofits need to do to take advantage of them.
Not sure if your website is mobile-friendly? Here's an easy test!
