Drafting Your Dream Grant Writing Team
In addition to making sure deadlines are met, a grant writer often serves as the "coach" of the proposal preparation and writing process. This often includes identifying and engaging the individuals within an organization that should have input into the process (the internal stakeholders), as well as those individuals outside your organization that need to be engaged (external stakeholders).
This session examines who internal and external stakeholders are, and the various roles they may play in the proposal creation process. Attendees will learn the tools and techniques for breaking the process down in a way that helps ALL stakeholders provide the most meaningful input, without letting their personal lenses and unfamiliarity with grant writing obstruct the process.
Presenters Julie Alsup, GPC and Julie Assel, GPC with Assel Consulting will discuss the importance of asking great questions to get the information needed from internal and external stakeholders to create a quality proposal. They'll share some of the "tools of the trade" of grant writing to help you do this, including logic models and work plans to make the process more efficient and meaningful for all involved.
A program of the Grant Writing Series.
