Federal Grant Readiness
Billions of federal grant dollars are awarded to worthy causes each year, but both winning and managing federal grants is not easy. Join us to learn what you need to have in place before saying yes to federal $$$.
In this grant management workshop, presenter Jasmine Markanday discusses the federal laws, governances, and appropriations for grants and cooperative agreements. You’ll learn best practices and requirements for the grants lifecycle from pre-award to closeout, and will leave the session with the tools needed to manage federal funds effectively.
For example,
- Do you have the required policies and procedures in place?
- What about the internal controls? How do you mitigate fraud, waste, and abuse?
- Does your organization understand the audit process for federal grants?
- Briefly, we will discuss the indirect cost rate so that you can recover your overhead costs for sustainable programs.
