This lively conversation on reframing how we source talent will be a significant first step in the right direction. This enlightening session is tailored for human resources and hiring professionals passionate about attracting the right talent and diving deep into how they can do it well.
This roundtable is intended for nonprofit professionals responsible for hiring talent (i.e., CEO, COO, ED, HR)

As a native of Kansas City, Missouri, Consuella McCain is a dedicated public servant committed to restoring public trust and goodwill within the community she knows and loves. Consuella has proven to be a thought leader in the areas of socioeconomics, business, and workforce development. She enjoys creating quality programming and insightful training that creates awareness and increases knowledge.
With more than 20 years of experience tackling complex public services challenges to igniting business growth, Consuella’s journey has cultivated her into a champion of equity. Her pioneering workforce initiatives empower and revitalize communities.
Consuella has a proven track record of success; she has:
- Implemented advanced workforce recruitment and pipeline program to attract minority and women interns and direct hires to increase attraction, recruitment, new hire conversion, and retention efforts;
- Led a 10-person workforce consortium to identify workforce skill gaps; and
- Collaborated with community partners to retool and train the underemployed and unemployed workers.
Consuella holds a concentrated BS in Small Business and Entrepreneurship and an MPA in Government and Nonprofit Leadership. As a life learner, she has perpetual Compliance Administration and Fair Housing certifications. Dedicated to community service and eliminating barriers, Consuella served as a Fuse Fellow, is also a founding member of the Professional Women of Color | Kansas City (PWOC|KC), the National Organization of Minorities in Architecture-Kansas City chapter (NOMA-KC, and a veteran of the United States Navy.
