Logic Models: A Powerful Tool, Not a Torture Device
Logic model: two words that strike fear in the hearts of (too) many. In reality, logic models are powerful tools. They can help everyone in an organization - from front line personnel to the board of directors - understand program services, how those services change lives, and can create a foundation for rock-star evaluation plans that will have funders singing your praises.
Shelley Loethen of Encore Nonprofit Solutions will show you how a logic model can do all these things. Participants will learn how a logic model can guide program design, drive budgeting, program implementation, and evaluation, and why even existing programs benefit from a logic model. Participants will gain experience in designing a logic model and take away templates and tools for creating them when they get back to the office.
Shelley Loethen, GPC, is the owner of Encore Nonprofit Solutions. With more than 20 years of experience in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, she has unique insight into the needs of nonprofit organizations.
