Mindfulness and the Nonprofit Professional: A Tool to Restore Balance in Your Life
Does your desire to help others ever trump your need to help yourself? Does your career in public service take precedence over self service?
Sometimes all it takes is a little adjustment to realign your brain and wellbeing! Join us for a hands-on presentation about mindfullness, where you'll learn practical tools to restore balance and sanity in your life! (Mindfulness is the ability to be entirely present of where you are and what you're doing, instead of being overwhelmed by or overly reactive to what's going on around you.)
This is a retreat for employees of local nonprofit organizations. This is designed to take hard-working team members out of their second-level trauma environments and provide a session of pampering, including mindfulness tips for relaxation, stress reduction tools for the workplace, and self-care goodies to help make working on the frontline a little less overwhelming.
Networking and snacks will be available before the program at 9:00 AM. The program will start promptly at 9:30 AM.
Rev. Paulette Pipe of Touching the Stillness Ministries will host the session. Using her disctinctive gift of mezmerizing meditation that stirs the soul, she masterfully creates rich, sacred mindfullness experiences designed to help engender deep stillness and make meditation principles practical and accessible for daily application.
