Nonprofit Senior Leadership Breakfast | September 2024
Previously known as The Nonprofit Executive Breakfast.
Leading with Diversity: Your Role in Building a Positive Workplace Culture
Join us for a close-knit and strategy focused breakfast as we conclude our Senior Leadership Breakfast series for the year! For the last session, we're switching things up with a fireside chat format that allows for open dialogue and deeper exploration.
Discover how senior leadership can harness diversity as a powerful tool for creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Learn practical strategies, share experiences, and gain valuable insights. We'll leave ample time for questions and discussion, so come prepared to engage and connect with fellow nonprofit leaders.
Don't miss this opportunity to network and recharge over a delicious breakfast as we reflect on the year and look ahead to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
Please note: Attendance at this breakfast is solely for nonprofit Executive Directors, CEOs, COO, CFOs, Senior Directors, and Vice Presidents. It is not transferable.
Featured Guests:
Larry Lewis, (Executive Director, Growing Futures)
Larry J. Lewis Jr. is a career-long champion for children. For over 20 years he has served the community and its youngest members with dedication and a fun-loving spirit. Since his days as a collegiate athlete at Kansas State University, Larry has witnessed the power education, a safe place for children to play and what happens when the community prioritizes both.
Over the years while advocating for youth and their families, Larry has had the pleasure of leading communities and shepherding young professionals in the work. He has gained skills in fundraising, developing Boards, and the art of Storytime. Some of his favorite memories include watching the magic of the young child evolve into productive citizens later in life.
Larry will continue to build upon his solid foundation by connecting non-profits to valuable collaborators in the community. These partnerships yield better resources that are necessary for the success of children and youth. It takes everyone to sustain the future. He is a firm believer in multi-level investment to ensure young people have access to quality programs that develop the whole child and partner with their family.
Family is paramount to Larry's belief system. He resides in Olathe with his growing family. Over the summer, his family (wife, two daughters) welcomed a baby boy, Larry James Lewis III.
Looking forward, he plans to continue his work developing the future leaders of tomorrow and their access to education, while remaining rooted to others with similar passion.
