Road to Executive Director
Learn the essential skills an Executive Director needs to be successful.
Are you interested in leading a nonprofit organization? If your ultimate goal is to become an Executive Director, there are many skills and competencies you need to polish so that you're ready to take the leadership leap.
Join Nonprofit Connect for an interactive look at what skills are most in demand for leaders today based on data from our job board. Participants will have the opportunity to assess their current skills, create a roadmap to leadership, and hear from HR recruiters and current executives. During this hands-on workshop, you will:
- Learn about the skills and competencies most required of executive directors.
- Reflect on current skills and develop a road map for how you can personally round out your experience.
- Hear from OMNI HR's VP of Executive Recruiting about the qualities and qualifications Human Resource professionals look for when recruiting executive management.
- Engage with a panel of current executive directors for a candid conversation on what they wish they knew before jumping into the position, what skills have helped them the most, and what advice they would share with emerging leaders.
