Saturday STEM Seminar - 'Music: It’s a Total Brain Workout.' Presented by Stephanie Ramirez.
Our Fall/Spring Saturday STEM Seminars offer a fantastic and FREE chance to get introduced to the diverse world of STEM careers and professionals. Held about once a month, this series aims to expose students and public alike to cutting-edge topics in science and showcase the career paths taken by an array of STEM experts - from aerospace engineers to forensic specialists. As an added incentive, at the end of each semester, the Kansas City area educator who sends the most students to our seminars (for some extra credit hopefully!) will be awarded a special prize!
Keep your brain young with music! Research shows listening to music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure and pain while improving sleep quality, mood, and cognitive function. Learn more about the relationship between music and the brain.
