Saturday STEM Seminar - 'Placenta – The Babyhood Bestie that Changed Your Life.' Presented by Dr. Omonse Talton.
Our Fall/Spring Saturday STEM Seminars offer a fantastic and FREE chance to get introduced to the diverse world of STEM careers and professionals. Held about once a month, this series aims to expose students and public alike to cutting-edge topics in science and showcase the career paths taken by an array of STEM experts - from aerospace engineers to forensic specialists. As an added incentive, at the end of each semester, the Kansas City area educator who sends the most students to our seminars (for some extra credit hopefully!) will be awarded a special prize!
Hear about an exciting field in Biology called Developmental Programming and learn how the first nine months of your life can shape your development, based on what types of molecules you’re exposed to through the placenta.
