Are you a nonprofit board member or an experienced nonprofit professional that would like a refresher on financial statement basics? Are you new to the nonprofit sector and would like to learn the key elements of nonprofit financial statements?
By law, a nonprofit's financial information is public information and available to anyone who wants to access it. Whether you are a staff member, board member, or considering entering the sector, it’s especially important to brush up on your financial literacy. Join us for a summary of the key nonprofit financial concepts, including the basic and unique components for nonprofits as well as characteristics of a healthy nonprofit.

Presenters:
Tondee Lutterman is the National Industry Partner for BKD’s Not-for-Profit Group, Higher Education and Government Groups, responsible for developing BKD’s vision and strategic growth initiatives for these industries. She leads a team of more than 300 advisors who serve approximately 2,000 clients. She has 20 years of experience providing audit and consulting services to educational institutions, foundations, associations and other charitable organizations.
Stephanie Whitacre, CPA is a member of BKD’s Not-for-Profit Advisory Services team and the BKD Not-for-Profit Group. She has more than 10 years of experience providing assurance services to charitable organizations, foundations, membership organizations, and religious organizations. She also assists clients in identifying best practices, implementing new accounting standards, internal control reviews, financial reporting and management dashboards.

Please park in one of the two lots directly north and across 31st Street from the station, leaving the main lot for KCPT staff and visitors with disabilities.
