Volunteer Management Institute| Spring 2025
The Volunteer Management Institute (VMI) is an immersive, hands-on training program designed to equip nonprofit professionals with essential skills and strategies in volunteer management. Tailored to meet the needs of both newcomers and experienced managers, VMI offers a comprehensive exploration of core volunteer management concepts, empowering participants to effectively recruit, train, retain, and motivate volunteers while building sustainable programs that drive organizational success.
This dynamic, three-session workshop delivers practical, real-world applications in an engaging, interactive environment. Whether you’re a novice seeking to build a strong foundation or a seasoned professional looking to refine and refresh your skills, VMI provides valuable insights and tools to enhance your impact. Completion of all sessions is mandatory to earn the prestigious certification, ensuring attendees walk away with a deep, actionable understanding of best practices in volunteer management.

Structure:
- Volunteer Management Institute (VMI) consists of three sessions from 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM on March 11th and 12th; 9:30 AM- 12:00 PM on March 13th.
- Each session includes nonprofit experts who bring hands-on, real-life experience to the topics.
- Sessions will be in-person. Attendance is limited to 15 participants.
Guidelines:
- Participants must be Nonprofit Connect members.
- Participants must commit to attending all three sessions in full.
- Participation may be limited to one person per organization.
