CSAA Board of Directors

Cornerstone Aviation Academy (CSAA) is seeking passionate, community-minded leaders to join our Board of Directors as we continue to grow and expand our impact across Kansas. As our programs gain momentum, we are looking for individuals who believe in the power of mentorship, education, and opportunity to help guide the next phase of our organization’s journey.

Cornerstone Aviation Academy is a Kansas-based nonprofit dedicated to introducing young people—especially those from underserved communities—to the world of aviation. Our mission is to inspire students and create real pathways into aviation careers such as pilots, aircraft mechanics, engineers, and aviation technicians. We believe that exposure and opportunity can change the trajectory of a young person’s life.

One of the ways we are doing this is through our growing partnership with Jobs for America’s Graduates–Kansas (JAG-K). Through this collaboration, CSAA works directly with middle and high schools across the state to introduce students to aviation career pathways. We visit classrooms, speak with students about opportunities in the aviation industry, and provide hands-on experiences that help them see aviation as a real possibility for their future.

We are also building workforce training opportunities through our Aircraft Mechanic Pre-Apprenticeship Program and our Aircraft Mechanic (AMP) Registered Apprenticeship Program in partnership with the Kansas Office of Apprenticeship. These programs are designed to give young people practical skills, mentorship, and direct connections to aviation employers while helping address the growing need for skilled aviation mechanics.

As CSAA continues to grow, we are looking for board members who want to be part of something meaningful. Individuals with experience in aviation, education, workforce development, business, finance, law, marketing, or philanthropy are encouraged to engage. Board members help guide strategy, strengthen partnerships, support fundraising efforts, and serve as ambassadors for the mission.
