Supporting the GKCTPC Free Clinic Project
The Greater Kansas City-Topeka Psychoanalytic Center (GKCTPC) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing the science and art of psychoanalysis, disseminating knowledge of psychoanalysis to medical, health, and other academic disciplines, and promoting professional education and development of psychoanalytic clinicians. 

We are developing a free mental health clinic to serve economically disadvantaged people Kansas City. To support this effort we would like to host an online silent auction fundraiser in conjunction with our annual dinner on May 30, 2026.

We are seeking an experienced volunteer to serve as Silent Auction Chair.

Role Responsibilities

- Take the lead in planning and managing the silent auction

- Secure auction items from businesses and community partners

- Oversee item tracking, display setup, and bidder logistics

- Coordinate with the Clinic Planning Committee and supervise Silent Auction volunteers

Requirements

- Prior event or auction planning experience

- Strong communication and donor outreach skills

- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

- Commitment to improving mental health access in our community

Time Commitment

- 5-10 hours per week, increasing closer to the event

- Flexible schedule, virtual and in-person options
