Heartland Inc, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe, supportive homes, and a vibrant spiritual community life for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), is seeking a passionate and committed Board Member to join our leadership team. 

About Heartland

The Opportunity 

We are seeking board members who shares our vision of expanding meaningful housing solutions and building an inclusive future. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by mission-driven leadership and eager to help guide a growing organization. 

Responsibilities 

As a Heartland Board Member, you will: 

· Provide strategic guidance as Heartland grows its residential programs 

· Champion our mission in the community and help expand relationships and partnerships 

· Support fundraising and development initiatives 

· Serve as an ambassador for inclusive housing and community engagement 

· Participate in monthly board meetings 

What We’re Looking For 

We welcome individuals with diverse professional and lived experiences. Ideal candidates may bring strengths in one or more of the following areas: 

· Nonprofit governance 

· Finance, law, or real estate 

· Healthcare, social services, or disability advocacy 

· Community development or fundraising 

· Strategic planning or organizational growth 

Above all, we seek someone with deep compassion, integrity, and a commitment to improving the lives of adults with IDD.
