Vice President (President Elect)

The Board of Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary is seeking a Vice President to join its board. This person will be a central figure in the organization, acting as the second-in-command to the President. The VP will provide staff direction, help manage finances, and ensure that Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary programs are relevant and in demand. The VP will also lead fundraising efforts and build relationships within the community.

Success in this role entails achieving goals such as maintaining financial stability, expanding the organization, and making a positive impact in the community. The board meets six times a year in Liberty, Missouri. If you are interested in the Vice President board position, please email your resume, including any past board experiences, to mltnsboard@gmail.com.  Past board experience desired, as well as a passion for nature, wildlife conservation, and outdoor education.

Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary is a private non-profit nature organization with a 100-acre Wildlife Sanctuary. About 4 miles of trails traverse diverse habitats, including an accessible paved trail and a trail-side bird blind in the prairie. The Nature Sanctuary offers educational programs and events. 

The Nature Sanctuary’s mission is to protect native habitats and wildlife while providing opportunities for people to discover and connect with nature.
