POSITION OVERVIEW:
The importance of a board member at large lies in their ability to offer a broad perspective and diverse insights to the board. They bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and skills from various backgrounds, which can enrich discussions, enhance decision-making processes, and ensure the board considers a wide range of viewpoints.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong commitment to the mission and values of Tyler’s House KC
- Proven experience in fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to organizational growth
- Willingness to dedicate time and effort to support the organization’s activities and events
- Experience working with non-profit organizations is preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advocacy and Outreach - Act as an ambassador for Tyler's House KC, promoting its mission and activities to external stakeholders, including potential donors and the broader community
Community Engagement - Foster relationships with stakeholders, donors, and community members to enhance the organization’s visibility and support
Fundraising - Work with the Fundraising Committee to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to  support Tyler’s House’s mission and programs
Event Attendance - Participate in and promote fundraising events, ensuring successful execution and community engagement.
Board and Executive Support - Collaborate with and support the board and executive director in achieving organizational goals and objectives.
Idea Generation - Contribute innovative ideas for fundraising initiatives and strategic alliances to advance Tyler’s House KC’s mission.

Term Length - Serve a 2-year term with the opportunity for renewal upon completion.
