Come help Vets combat the world water crisis

Who are we:

  • Veterans Without Orders is an all-volunteer, veteran-led, non-profit, non-partisan organization that assists populations without clean water and other essential services
  • As the “tip of the spear”, we focus on delivering clean water filters directly to the communities who need them, ensuring we can make an immediate impact on suffering communities
 
Each board member is expected to
 
  • know VWOs organization’s mission, policies, programs, and needs as well as understand its collective purpose
  • serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization
  • fully engage in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission
  • leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to achieve the organization’s mission
  • give a meaningful personal financial donation
  • help identify personal connections that can benefit VWO’s fundraising and reputational standing, and influence public policy
  • prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in board meetings as required
  • engage in learning opportunities to better understand the community we serve
  • Preferred: Live in the Kansas City Area 
 

 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Exhibits integrity, credibility and has a passion to support veterans and international health efforts
  • Is knowledgeable, influential and highly respected in the community
  • Is willing to leverage personal and professional connections to promote VWOs mission
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in working with donors, volunteers and partners
  • Has diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships among diverse individuals in our community
