We are searching for volunteer mentors to work with elementary, middle, and high school students participating in our truancy diversion program, SupportED, during the 2022-23 school year. Help us increase school attendance and engagement, divert families from court, build skills, repair relationships, inspire our future leaders, build back our schools and community, and prevent more severe issues such as school dropout and juvenile crime. Behavior Technicians Needed To Support At-Risk Youth in Douglas County!

Center for Supportive Communities, an organization dedicated to using behavioral science to create equal opportunities and meaningful change, is searching for skilled professionals and professionals in training to work with elementary, middle, and high school students and their families participating in our SupportED program during the 2022-23 school year. Help us administer assessments, create and implement interventions, and coach parents and teachers on addressing behavioral challenges.

Help us infuse evidence-based interventions in the education and juvenile justice systems to help kids who need it most.

Kansas City Cleanup with United by Blue

Meet us at Alex George Wetland Park for this cleanup. Volunteers will be led by staff to clean up trash and plastic from Blue River trail system and the lake shoreline. After cleaning, we'll celebrate the day's impact with games, educational activities, and complimentary lunch.

The American Cancer Society's Kansas City Chairman’s Circle (CC) is intended to provide a diverse executive leadership forum for advancing the our life-saving mission. This advocacy includes assisting ACS staff by promoting program priorities and informing the public about ACS organizational priorities. Chairman’s Circle members will be asked to assist by advancing mission priorities, securing financial support, recognizing key contributors and building relationships with community leaders.
