Individual Volunteer Opportunity: CASA Advocacy and Volunteer Opportunities
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are appointed by judges to support children in foster care. They meet regularly with their assigned child, consult with professionals, and gather information from families and placements, spending about 10–12 hours per month. General volunteers also help CASA through events, committees, and donation drives.
Now Welcoming Community Reviewers to the Metro's Largest Neighborhood Grant Fund
CCF is recruiting Community Reviewers to score applications for the Neighborhoods Rising Fund (NRF), which awards grants of up to $7,500 (one-year) and $15,000 (two-year) for neighborhood-led projects in Clay, Jackson, Johnson, and Wyandotte Counties. Reviewers provide feedback that helps CCF identify community needs and trends across the metro area. This is a 5-hour commitment over a two-week period in April 2026. No prior grant review experience required, just a passion for Kansas City.
