Accounting Associate
Supporting Philanthropy. Powering Precision
The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support daily financial operations that enable community giving.
What You’ll Do:
- Process and distribute AP vouchers, grants, and scholarship checks, reconciling daily and preparing files for approval
- Enter contributions, payments, and transfers into accounting systems
- Scan and deposit checks; manage mail and electronic records
- Create and maintain vendor and donor profiles; support 1099 and W-9 compliance
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment and grant questions
- Support year-end financial operations (critical deadlines in Q4)
- Associate degree with 2+ years of related experience (accounting preferred)
- Strong Excel skills and ability to learn new systems
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
