Accounts & Cash Coordinator

The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Associate to help ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of our daily cash operations - supporting the work that makes generosity possible across our community.

This full-time position is based in Kansas City, MO, reports to the Accounting Manager, and is an hourly, nonexempt role. The position works in the office Monday - Friday, with the potential to work remotely one day per week after a successful in-office training period.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare regular grant payment reports and initiate cash replenishment requests to ensure timely funding and processing.
  • Review and validate quarterly administrative fee invoices for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Prepare cash journal templates and coordinate cash transfers in partnership with the investment team.
  • Run weekly gift and transfer reports and coordinate timely movement of gifts into accounts.
  • Oversee daily mail processing, including receipt, sorting, distribution, and electronic logging of checks and cash received.

What You'll Bring

  • Associate degree with at least two years of related experience, accounting or finance background preferred. Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite and possess curiosity and commitment to learning new software.
  • A strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret instructions and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
