Development & Executive Support Specialist
Organization: Kansas City Automotive Museum (KCAM) – nonprofit
Reports To: Executive & Development Directors
About the Role
The Kansas City Automotive Museum (KCAM) seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Support Specialist to support the Executive Director and Development Director. This position plays a central role in keeping the Museum’s operations running smoothly while contributing to fundraising and capital campaign initiatives. This is a full-time position with benefits, but we are open to considering part-time arrangements for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Director Support

Manage scheduling, calendars, travel, and meeting logistics.

Prepare and edit correspondence, board packets, reports, and presentations.

Support board and committee meetings with agendas, minutes, and follow-up.

Maintain discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
Development & Capital Campaign Support

Provide administrative support for the Development Department, including donor acknowledgments, database updates, and reporting.

Assist with capital campaign activities, including donor scheduling, campaign tracking, and meeting logistics.

Prepare fundraising materials, grant documents, and campaign communications.

Support development events, including planning, logistics, and post-event follow-up.

Coordinate with volunteers, consultants, and board members on fundraising and campaign tasks.
General Administrative Support

Oversee day-to-day office administration: filing, supplies, vendor coordination, and document management.

Serve as liaison among staff, board members, donors, and community partners.

Contribute to Museum-wide projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications

At least 2 years of administrative support experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with donor management software/CRM a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Discretion, adaptability, and collaborative approach.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $35,000 – $45,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
