Kindness Operations Specialist

The Kindness Operations Specialist will be kind, compassionate and excited to join our mission to overcome hate b promoting kindness and understanding through education and dialogue. You won't need benefits but will appreciate the flexibility of hours and the amazing staff and volunteers we already have in place.  You will provide administrative support and be a hub of information, touching every aspect of our organization.  
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and distribute emails delivered to info@sevendays.org.
  • Pick up, open, distribute and/or communicate about items received in mail. 
  • Deposit checks physically to our local bank and provide photocopies of checks to leadership.
  • Package and mail orders received from our website SHOP.  Communicate inventory needs to leadership for this same SHOP portal.  All products in our SHOP are on location at our office.
  • Maintain office supply levels for office equipment, Kindness Baskets and other special events.
  • Ensure appropriate information is forwarded to leadership and communicate with landlord on special events.
  • Responsible for maintaining high quality standards on all projects to best represent the organization.
  • Organize and coordinate printing of marketing materials for special events.
  • Organize and coordinate volunteers for specific requests and special events and volunteers' needs.  SevenDays® has an involved Ambassador Volunteer Group.
  • Support behind-the-scenes organization and coordination of special events for leadership.
  • Support special projects that further the mission of the organization. (i.e.  gathering items for and delivering a Kindness Basket as requested)
  • Maintain clean and organized office spaces.
    • Provide administrative support for the Executive Director and team, referring to Executive Director if conflicts of time present themselves.
  • Administer the Network for Good, our donor platform. Including monthly newsletter and email communications.
  • Assist with communications with sponsors for events such as the Ripples of Kindness Breakfast
  • Administer the 31 Days of Kindness Campaign – update graphics, prompts and technology, help secure sponsorships, lead recruitment of influencers and participants, conduct post-campaign survey.
  • Support for Kindness Youth Leadership Team including attending the monthly meetings held in the evening (Tuesday)
  • Other duties as requested
Knowledge & Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Organization and planning skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-starter
  • MSFT Office/Teams experience
  • Social Media platform knowledge (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn)
