Development & Administration Officer, Part Time

Autism Society – The Heartland (ASH) | Overland Park, KS (Hybrid)
Part-Time Opportunity: Development & Administration Officer
Do you have a background in fundraising, grant writing, and/or corporate sponsorships — and want to put those skills to work for a cause that matters? Join us at the Autism Society – The Heartland (ASH), where we empower individuals and families affected by autism through advocacy, resources, and support

Why This Role?
This is the perfect opportunity for:

  • A retired professional ready to continue making an impact without the demands of a full-time schedule.
  • A parent or caregiver seeking flexible, meaningful work while balancing family responsibilities.
  • Fundraiser looking for part time, but meaningful work.
With flexible hours (approx. 25 per week, M–F 9 AM–3 PM) and a hybrid work arrangement, you’ll have room to manage life while contributing to a mission-driven nonprofit
What You’ll Do
  • Fundraising Leadership: Research, write, and manage grants and sponsorship proposals.
  • Corporate Partnerships: Cultivate and solicit business sponsorships that sustain our programs.
  • Donor Engagement: Maintain accurate donor records and provide timely acknowledgments.
  • Support & Communications: Assist with newsletters, donor updates, and light administrative needs for the team
This role is not event planning — we’re looking for someone eager to directly grow ASH’s funding streams.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2–4 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with a proven record in grant writing and corporate sponsorships.
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfort with Google Workspace (donor database experience preferred).
  • Independent, detail-oriented, and motivated by mission-driven work
What We Offer
  • $18/hour starting pay, commensurate with experience and a structured incentive plan.
  • A flexible, family-friendly schedule (approx. 25 hrs/week).
  • Hybrid work arrangement (in-office in Overland Park, KS + remote flexibility).
  • The chance to make a direct impact on the autism community
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and cover letter highlighting your fundraising experience to: officemanager@asaheartland.org.
If you’re ready to bring your fundraising skills to a cause that changes lives — we’d love to hear from you!
