Director of Development

Position Title: Director of Development (part-time, contractor)

Compensation: $2,500/month (approx. $30,000 annually, 20 hours/week)

Reports To: Executive Director

Position Summary

The Part-Time Director of Development is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing fundraising strategies that support the growth and sustainability of the organization. This role focuses on cultivating donor relationships, securing grant funding, and building a strong base of community and corporate support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet organizational revenue goals.

• Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors.

• Research, write, and manage grant proposals and reporting requirements.

• Oversee donor database management and maintain accurate records of contributions.

• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors on fundraising initiatives.

• Coordinate fundraising campaigns, appeals, and special events.

• Ensure timely acknowledgment and recognition of all contributions.
   

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, development, or grant writing.

• Proven track record of securing and managing donations and grants.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.

• Comfortable working independently in a part-time capacity.
   

Hours & Compensation

• 20 hours per week, flexible scheduling

• $2,500/month ($30,000 annually) as a contract position

• Remote/hybrid options may be considered after six months
