Donor Engagement Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Successfully promote & support the mission of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas as guided by the Catholic Social Teachings, by securing financial resources to support organizational goals. Manage the monthly & matched gift programs, donor societies/events, and collaborate on direct mail appeals. Implement strategies to grow annual revenue and expand the donor base. Manage a donor portfolio through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, while identifying and engaging new prospects. Support all fundraising efforts, including special events and department initiatives. This role offers opportunities for growth within the department and in a career in nonprofit development. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of donors and prospects through strategic identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship—including oversight of the monthly giving program, donor societies, and matching gift initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Database teams to drive increased revenue from direct mail appeals and identify opportunities to enhance donor engagement and giving among respondents.
  • Execute the donor gratitude strategy, including managing engagement & recognition events.
  • Lead the execution of the agency’s rural fundraising strategy and events, while contributing to the success of its marquee metro-area fundraisers through committee volunteer engagement and donor stewardship.
  • Work closely with the Chief Development Officer in responding to strategic organizational priorities by planning, setting, and monitoring annual goals aimed at supporting those priorities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Events, Database, Community Engagement and Program staff teams to strengthen donor stewardship opportunities. 
  • Manage budgets for direct mail appeals, monthly giving, and donor engagement events.
  • Serve as the agency’s lead contact for all stock and matched gifts directed to the organization.
  • Participate in Development and Parish outreach activities as appropriate.
  • All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrate a passion for the mission of Catholic Charities and a commitment to upholding the agency’s core values: love, patience, kindness, faithfulness, self-control, and joy.
  • Catholic Charities promotes a diverse workforce.   • Preserve the ethical standards of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas and the development profession.
  • Must complete VIRTUS training, background screening, drug testing, and any ongoing training as required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field required and experience in fundraising campaign management preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, engage others around a shared vision, and communicate in a timely and professional manner.
  • Self-starter and ability to work well independently and with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and customer relations skills; able to prioritize, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure with diplomacy and tact.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work during evenings and weekends as needed.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and moving
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must have the physical ability to make visits to a variety of office locations and environments across the agency’s 21-county service area.
  • Must have physical ability to effectively communicate with others
  • Must have the physical ability and appropriate licensure for driving
