Part-Time Development Associate                                                Hourly Rate: $19.00

Pawsperity opened its doors in January 2016 as the country’s only nonprofit grooming school. Our mission is to empower families to become self-reliant through job training, life skills, and practical solutions to end their cycle of poverty. 

Position Overview:
The Development Associate is an integral member of the Development and Community Relations team and will assist in fundraising, sponsorship, events, and administrative functions that are vital to the continued success of Pawsperity and its mission.

Schedule: 20 hours a week. Flexible within business hours M-F 8am-4:30pm

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for maintaining accurate and current donor database records, as well as utilizing database tools for reporting and research
• Perform regular data entry, process, and acknowledge all gifts received in a timely and accurate manner
• Prepare donor and sponsorship acknowledgement communications
• Assist with preparing and mailing fundraising appeals
• Produce lists, data extractions, and reports as needed for direct mail and other reporting efforts
• Provide data entry and reporting to the accounting team to help reconcile the donor database and accounting system regularly

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of experience working in fundraising or project organization (nonprofit experience preferred) or administrative/executive support, and customer service in an office setting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management software
