Senior Manager Corporate Partnerships & Engagement

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

ArtsKC - Regional Arts Council seeks a Senior Manager Corporate Partnerships & Engagement, a dynamic, creative, and goal-oriented fund development professional. This position will establish and manage meaningful relationships with corporate and community partners to drive investment in and advancement of ArtsKC’s mission and programs for the benefit of Kansas City’s regional arts community and residents. The individual in this position has a deep passion for the arts or community development and a commitment to advancing the regional arts ecosystem and elevating the diverse disciplines and individuals who comprise this important community. The individual in this position will have experience with cross-sector relationship building, business development, sponsorships, promotions, and event planning. This individual will have strong project management experience, including critical path and database management. This role will align with the overall strategic goals of the organization that seek to overcome systemic and societal barriers to ensure inclusive and equitable participation in the arts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and develop innovative, relevant programs that respond to and meet the needs of Kansas City’s corporate community. 

  • Renew existing and acquire new corporate and community donors with the goal of increasing annual giving through donation or sponsorship.

  • Identify new and renew existing companies that participate in the Now Showing program.

  • Present regularly on ArtsKC’s mission, programs, and impact to prospective supporters, chambers of commerce, economic, civic, and business councils.

  • Management of corporate representatives within the Now Showing program, including daily/weekly administrative tasks and close coordination with the Programs Team to select artists for the program and gallery exhibitions.

  • Execute delivery of sponsor or donor benefits in collaboration with the Development and Marketing teams. 

  • Execute donor stewardship and appreciation activities.

  • Lead and expand ArtsKC Workplace Giving Campaigns.

  • Track data and relationship development activities using Salesforce, ArtsKC’s CRM system.

  • Provide program assistance and technical support in the overall planning and implementation of the ArtsKC signature events, tentatively resuming in 2026.

  • Represent the agency before funders, board members, volunteers, arts patrons, and donors.

  • Prioritize activity and engagement in community and business events during and after business hours.

EXPERIENCE:

The incumbent must have the ability to work independently and within a team. Proven fundraising, business development, sales, promotions, or other relationship-building experience required with a successful record of performance. He or she must possess the ability to be a self-starter who consistently delivers on responsibilities and commitments to meet or exceed expectations. Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills and a knowledge and/or understanding of how to engage Kansas City’s corporate community are key skills needed for success in this position.  Experience in executing or assisting in the execution of special events is preferred.  Knowledge or experience of United Arts Fund/United Way fundraising, including workplace giving, is an added strength for this position.

Incumbent must have a working knowledge of fundraising databases (proficiency with Salesforce preferred), and be proficient in the Google Business or Microsoft Office suite(s). A person holding this position must be technologically savvy and comfortable learning new technology to reach new generations of donors. Must possess the ability to communicate the mission and vision of ArtsKC and be a genuine participant/consumer of the arts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CFRE credential or similar fundraising accreditation preferred.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of fundraising, sales, marketing, or relationship-building experience, with preference in a not-for-profit organization.

  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal presentation skills.

  • Well-organized, efficient, detail-oriented, conscientious team player, who can also work independently and is able to manage projects big and small from start to completion.

  • Experience working with not-for-profit volunteers and a diverse, dynamic constituency.

  • Understanding of and commitment to maintaining the confidential nature of fundraising efforts and donor information.

  • Working knowledge of: SalesForce CRM, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides.

Benefits:

The base annual salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $71,000, based on experience and qualifications. Other compensation includes excellent health, vision and dental insurance, 401K Plan and life and disability insurance.  The base salary will depend on skills, qualifications and experience.  This role is a full-time, non-exempt position.
