College & Career Liaison

Do you enjoy connecting volunteers, families, and educators to create hands-on experiences that prepare students for their futures?

PREP-KC is seeking a College & Career Liaison to deliver high-quality college and career experiences in schools across the Kansas City region. In this role, you will actively coach and support school staff, manage volunteers, and facilitate events that connect students with industry professionals and real-world learning opportunities.

About the Role:
As an In-Person College & Career Liaison, you will:

  • Manage volunteer recruitment, outreach, and engagement strategies to ensure school staff can effectively leverage volunteers.

  • Coordinate and support in-person student experiences, including classroom visits, field trips, and interactive workshops.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community partners to maximize student impact.

  • Support event facilitation, logistics, and post-event follow-up to ensure high-quality experiences for students and volunteers.

  • Collect and analyze feedback from students, volunteers, and staff to inform continuous improvement.

  • Maintain records, communications, and media for volunteer engagement and student experiences.

Who You Are:

  • A relationship builder who seeks to create, foster, and maintain a network of key individuals to support college and career work. 

  • Comfortable and experienced working directly with teachers, school staff, families, and community partners.

  • Skilled at facilitation, collaboration, and coaching adults to take ownership of volunteer and student engagement.

  • Organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects and timelines.

  • Committed to PREP-KC's mission and advancing equity and access for students attending urban schools.

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office and learning new technologies; Salesforce or other CRM experience is a plus.

  • Access to reliable transportation is a must.
