Organization: National Institute for Construction Excellence (NICE-KC)
Position: Program Coordinator
Type: Full-Time
Location: Kansas City, Missouri (with potential for intermittent remote work)
Position Summary
National Institute for Construction Excellence is dedicated to inspiring and preparing the next generation for careers in the skilled trades and related construction fields such as architecture, engineering and other professional services within the construction industry. We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Program Coordinator to support the implementation of educational programs that connect students, educators, and industry professionals. This role will focus on delivering program activities, coordinating logistics, and ensuring successful engagement with schools and community partners. The coordinator will also assist with communication and fundraising efforts to enhance program reach and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation & Coordination

Assist in delivering NICE-KC’s educational programs, including classroom presentations, career days, hands-on workshops, and mentorship initiatives.

Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, participant registration, and resource distribution.

Serve as a point of contact for schools, teachers, and industry partners to facilitate program participation.

Track program attendance, feedback, and impact data to support reporting and improvement efforts.

Provide support for events such as the iBuild Showcase, ensuring smooth operations and participant engagement.

Assist in expanding programs and initiatives to increase organizational impact and strengthen partnerships with industry and educational stakeholders.
Outreach & Communication

Support communication efforts by contributing to newsletters, social media updates, and promotional materials.

Assist in maintaining relationships with educators, industry professionals, and students through regular outreach.

Help develop success stories and testimonials to highlight program impact.
Fundraising & Support

Assist with grant applications, donor outreach, and fundraising events by gathering data and preparing materials.

Support donor appreciation efforts through event coordination and communication.

Help maintain donor and partner records to track engagement and contributions.
Qualifications

Experience in construction, education, youth programs or a related field, with a background in program coordination and community engagement.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, educators, and industry partners.

Comfort with public speaking and facilitating group activities.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Passion for workforce development, education, and the construction industry.

Salary Range: $30,000 - 49,999,$50,000 - 74,999
